Course overview

The full GCSE consists of two units which are examined at the end of the two year course.

Unit One is called “Making Sense of Other People” and consists of five modules of work:
• Memory
• Non Verbal Communication
• Development of Personality
• Stereotyping and Discrimination
• Research Methods
It is assessed by a 90 minute examination where students have to answer one multi-part question per topic.

Unit Two is called “Understanding Other People” and consists of five modules of work:
• Learning
• Social Influence
• Sex and Gender
• Aggression
• Further Research Methods
It is assessed by a 90 minute examination where students have to answer a multi-part question on each topic area.
