The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) work across the UK tackling child sex abuse and provide advice for parents, young people and professionals.
CEOP have created a fantastic resource of information for students and parents on their ThinkUKnow website, click here to take a look. They have also created an Internet Browser Safety Tool which provides help and advice that is always available, click here for a direct link to the tool.
Click the icon below to make a report to the police in the UK about inappropriate sexual contact online such as ‘grooming’.
We are working hard to make sure all students, staff and parents are aware of E-Safety issues. We are currently working towards the 360 degrees safe e-safety accreditation. Visit this 360 degrees safe site for more information about this project.
All users must agree to an ‘Acceptable User Policy’ every time they login to the network. A copy of the Acceptable User Policy students and staff agree to can be found in the e-Safety policy. Network activity is monitored in real time, and digital footprints periodically checked. Web content is filtered via Dudley Grid for Learning (DGfL) before it enters our network, and it is filtered further by ourselves. Network software monitoring keywords and providing image recognition helps to further keep our students safe when using a computer. Social networking sites are filtered.
