Message From The Principal

Mr Landers, Interim Principal: Welcome back. I hope you have all had a fantastic break. It is going to be a busy term with lots of exciting developments both in the Academy and across the trust. Firstly our Year 11 students approach the most important period of their school life with their GCSE exams only four weeks away. Can I remind parents that all students have been given revision materials to use at home including online revision through GCSEPod and Mathswatch. We are also continuing to offer further support through our breakfast club, after school revision sessions and starting this week, Saturday school. We are hopeful this will be our most successful Year 11 group ever and are looking forward to celebrating their success on both the Year 11 reward trip to Thorpe Park and the Year 11 Prom.

Year 8 are also about to begin the process of picking the options they are going to take at GCSE. With a clear focus on achievement in English, mathematics and science, it is important they focus on choosing subjects that compliment their abilities and interests. They will be guided and supported all the way by their tutors, subject staff, Mrs Turton and Mrs Lee.

Finally, the Dudley Academies Trust has been working with our student leaders to look at developing a set of shared values for all of our schools. These include: dreaming big, rewarding effort, leading together, respecting each other and learning that inspires. Further work on a new behaviour policy and school uniform is set to be completed shortly ready for September.
