Year 11 Study Leave & Key Dates

Mr Landers, Principal: Due to a significant number of examinations now being complete, as of Friday 8th June,  Year 11 no longer have to attend school full time. Students will still be required to attend all remaining examinations and any relevant planned revision sessions. They may also be requested into school by staff to complete any incomplete work for practical subjects.

For morning examinations pupils should ensure that they are on school site and in Scotty G’S by 8.45am where they will be registered. For afternoon examinations they should arrive on school site by 1.15pm. For both afternoon examinations and all revision sessions students will need to sign in at main reception before going to the relevant subject area.

Can I remind parents that during normal school hours and when they are not involved in exams or in school revision, students are required to complete individual revision at home using their revision guides or GCSEPod. They should not be out in the local area or undertaking any form of paid or unpaid employment until all of their exams are complete.

Finally can I remind parents that we have two celebration events planned for Year 11 students, namely the Year 11 Prom on Thursday 5th July and Thorpe Park on Friday 29th June. We want as many invited students as possible to attend these events and request that all payments are made by Friday 15th June. Any payments received after this will not be accepted.

Once again can I thank you for the support you have given both your child and the Academy throughout their time at Holly Hall and in particular during this stressful examination period.
